Hey, I'm James - your go to coach for hybrid conditioning, running, mindful practices and meditation here at Nova. I'm a hugely competitive athlete who hopes to inspire and empower through a holistic approach to health, by focusing on your mind, body and soul. In my training sessions I'll be pushing your body to the maximum to help you achieve all your fitness goals. But I also believe that no matter how physically fit you are, a person is only ever as healthy as their mind. Therefore, I will also be helping you prioritize your mental health, self-care, spiritual growth and overall wellbeing through guided-meditations and mindset workshops.

I’ve trained alongside Nick, Nova’s founder — and beyond sharing an epic name, we share a deep belief in transformation through community, consistency, and care.

Veneranda – Accommodation, Adventure & Experience Team Leader

Hi! I'm Veneranda, the Accommodation Manager and your go-to person for all things adventure and experiences here at Nova Fitness Retreat in beautiful Phu Quoc.

From cozy rooms to clean spaces, I make sure your stay is stress-free so you can focus on training and recovery. I also lead our in-house Adventure & Experience Team, offering:
  • Island hopping
  • Jungle treks & waterfall swims
  • Kayaking & sunset paddleboarding
  • Deep sea fishing & scuba diving
  • 2–3 day Mekong Delta bike rides

With a background in environmental science and sustainability, I’m committed to keeping Nova eco-friendly — from solar energy and waste reduction to conservation projects with local partners like the safari park. I’ve been passionate about this work since my university days — I actually studied environmental science alongside Nick, Nova’s founder, over 25 years ago.

You’ll likely see me in a class or two — I’ll come to say hi! At Nova, we believe strength is forged together — through movement, adventure, and care for the world around us.
